Digitization of Artworks

The Artwork Reproduction Process
In our dedicated art photography studio, we use high-resolution cameras, professional lenses, and controlled lighting to capture each artwork under conditions specifically suited to its medium and characteristics.
We work with paintings, photographs, illustrations, drawings, and many other types of artwork, adapting the digitization process to the specific requirements of each piece.
Color Accuracy
Each reproduction is captured through a carefully controlled process. During photography, we use color references such as ColorChecker to accurately record the artwork’s colors and tonal values.
The file is then processed and calibrated in post-production, with particular attention to color management and the faithful reproduction of fine details.
The result is a high-resolution digital master that can be preserved as an archive of the artwork and subsequently used for fine art prints, catalogues, publications, or other projects.
Texture and Materiality Reproduction
Brushstrokes, the grain of the paper, engravings, reliefs, and surface irregularities all contribute to the perception of an artwork just as much as color and composition.
For this reason, the digitization process also takes into account the physical structure of the artwork’s surface. Lighting and camera settings are carefully adjusted to accurately capture the information present on the surface, while during the printing stage, the choice of Fine Art paper helps reproduce the image’s depth, tone, and character.
